The possibility that Idris Elba is going to be the next James Bond has made me think, isn't the character of James Bond an all-action, risk-taking, womanising, white man?
How about:
Hugh Grant as Shaft?
Samuel L Jackson as Miss Marple?
Russell Crowe as Lando Calrissian
Eddie Murphy as Hercule Poirot?

That's my view on it.
James Bond is just a white character. You wouldn't have a white man playing shaft.
Nothing racist about it, it's just how the character was originally written.
Idris Elba would be a great action star, but not James Bond.

Elba is too old looking at how often they tend to release
Craig has one to go which will probably be 2018/19
By the time the next is due probably sometime around 2022 or something Elba will be 50
By the time he's on his 3rd movie you have a near 60 year old bloke in the role
